That's Efficiency As We Understand It

The trip is about 4’100 miles long and 8.5 to 9h of flight time from Switzerland direct to Nampula - for a Boeing 777 or 747 absolutely no big deal to fly.

100 tons of coordinated emergency aid in just 12 hours - delivered over night..!
Shelters, tents, medicine, hygiene sets, basic foodstuffs, drinking water and water filters, power generators, etc.

After dropping off the cargo and refueling our aircraft we are on our way to the nearest emergency warehouse, where we could pick up and deliver another 100 tons of aid material.

200 tons of aid material in about 30 hours — compared to 15 tons in 5 days, what is the average case today.

While we take care about fast long haul transportation, organizations like the UN or ICRC can focus on local distribution – the very important last mile.

Mozambique has been hit by two cyclones within 6 weeks. The International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies has reported heavy damage to Cabo Delgado province. Cyclone Kenneth has "entirely wiped out" some villages in Mozambique, after making landfall on Thursday. One aid worker said it looked like areas had been "run over by a bulldozer“. About 3,500 homes in parts of Cabo Delgado were partially or fully destroyed by the cyclone, with electricity cut, some roads blocked and at least one key bridge collapsed. Cyclone Idai killed more than 900 people already. Nearly 700,000 people could be at risk in the largely rural region, many left exposed and hungry as waters rise.

This is not an illusion - this is something we can achieve together!

At Moonlight Air Organization, we:
1: transport emergency aid after natural catastrophes within 24 hours - worldwide.
2: provide medical professionals with a fully independent mobile hospital.
3: support governments and organization for sustainable development aid.

Aid when and where it is needed
To improve today’s situation, Moonlight Air Organization can reach any region in the world with more aid, faster delivery and more regular and efficient service. While we take care about fast long haul transportation, organizations and governments can focus on local distribution – the very important last mile.

Dedication brings results
Not only do we save more lives faster, we also bring perspectives and a future.
With the most innovative idea of a dedicated humanitarian aid airline we are able to multiply the effect of aid by creating a real value for people in need. Moonlight Air Organization will improve the quality of life of millions of people worldwide every year.

Impact for a better world
By offering up to two weekly flights with 100 tons capacity each we can stimulate local economies, generate win-win, B2B and B2C situations. Furthermore, our partners save a significant amount of transportation cost every year so they can re-invest their money into more aid material so they can help more people.

5 Days - that's the average response time in an emergency situation..!

Organizations have to collect emergency aid, search for available transportation solutions, and also organizing the delivery of the goods in the affected area. This takes time - too much time in such a situation.

1.5 million Puerto Ricans know what that means:
no drinking water nor hot water, no heating, no roof over your head, no food...
no electricity... no gasoline from gas station or money from cash machine...
and now you have to wait for emergency aid while you have to survive.

10 days no aid... and left for weeks without drinking water, medicine and electricity...

Airport San Juan and Rafael Hernández were open within 24 hours after hurricane Maria hit the island (landing was possible under visual flight conditions). Alternate airports were Punta Cana (Dominican Republic) - and the emergency aid could have been transported by boat and/or helicopter.

From London to Perth (Australia) in 17 hours. From Singapur to New York in 18 hours.
We can travel the world in less than a day, but we are not able to deliver aid material on time..!

6 days and 12 tons of aid material - that is a drop in the ocean.

Imagine that: we could have helped with 300 tons of aid material in 6 days!
What a difference...
